DEUTSCH KRONE

The old town DEUTSCH  KRONE near the river Pilow. Deutsch Krone was previously also known as Arneskrone by its German residents. Situated in the province of Posen-Westprussia, it is said to have been settled by the German people from 1303 to 1368; recaptured in 1772 and re-occupied until the end of WW2. Today the town is called Walcz.
